Tossly — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 11 May 2026 Last updated: 11 May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Tossly mobile application (the “App”), developed by Pham Gia (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the App. By using Tossly you agree to the practices described below.
We respect your privacy and try to keep data collection to the minimum needed to keep the App working, stable, and free.
1. Information we collect
We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, address, photos, contacts, or location.
We do collect a limited amount of technical and usage information through the third-party services listed in Section 2:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Device & app info | Device model, OS version, app version, language, country | Firebase Analytics |
| Usage events | Which mode you flipped, when settings or history are opened | Firebase Analytics |
| Crash diagnostics | Stack traces, OS state at time of crash, anonymous device identifier | Firebase Crashlytics |
| Advertising identifiers | Advertising ID (Android), IDFA (iOS — only if you allow tracking) | Google AdMob |
| Coarse advertising signals | Approximate location derived from IP, ad interaction events | Google AdMob |
We never collect:
- Your name, email, or phone number
- Your precise location (no GPS access)
- Photos, contacts, or microphone data
- The contents of any custom labels or list items you type — those are stored only on your device and never leave it
All settings, custom labels, custom colors and flip history are kept locally on your device using the operating system’s secure storage (AsyncStorage). They are not synced to any server.
2. Third-party services
Tossly uses the following services. Each has its own privacy policy that you should review:
- Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics so we can understand which features are used. Firebase Privacy Information
- Google Firebase Crashlytics — automatic crash reporting so we can fix bugs. Firebase Privacy Information
- Google Firebase Remote Config — lets us toggle features without a new release; collects no personal data.
- Google AdMob — shows ads inside the App. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier and basic interaction data. Google Ads Privacy & Terms
These services act as our data processors under applicable privacy law (GDPR, CCPA).
3. Advertising
Tossly displays a banner and an occasional full-screen ad on app open, served by Google AdMob.
- On Android, ads use your device’s Advertising ID. You can reset this ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads personalization.
- On iOS 14.5+, we ask once for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent. If you decline, ads are still shown but in non-personalized form (no IDFA).
You can opt out of personalized advertising from major ad networks at youradchoices.com (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
4. Children’s privacy
Tossly is rated Everyone / 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Ads served in the App are configured for general audiences. We do not use audience targeting that is intended for children.
5. Data retention
- Local data (settings, custom labels, flip history) lives on your device for as long as the App is installed. Uninstalling the App deletes all of it.
- Analytics / crash data is retained by Google according to Firebase defaults (typically 2 to 14 months) and then deleted.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (EU/EEA, UK, California, etc.), you may have rights to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Have it corrected or deleted
- Opt out of analytics / advertising
Because we do not collect identifiers tied to your identity (no email, no account), we cannot single out your data in Firebase. The most effective way to exercise these rights is to uninstall the App — this stops all data collection from your device.
You can also disable analytics and ad personalization in your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads and Settings → Apps → Tossly → Permissions
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
7. Data transfers
Firebase and AdMob are operated by Google and may transfer data to servers located in the United States and other countries. Google maintains Standard Contractual Clauses for EU/EEA data transfers.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the change. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
9. Contact
